The Best Gift is to Give Part of Your Self

......and that is the powerful little sentiment on these two cards made for my Dentist and her assistant!  They both speak Spanish and since I had this one stamp " el mejor regalo es dar una parte de ti mismo " I couldn't resist using it to adorn the cards!

Introducing MY DENTIST

I must say that my dentist and her staff are amazing!  They treat you with such kindness, you have no idea!  Both my daughter and I are nervous when it comes to dental procedures, but through their care, I am coming around to being a much more comfortable patient.

If you are near our area, you might want to see Dr. Rodriquez here BELLESMERE DENTAL CLINIC - as you can see they have more than just me as happy patients!

THE CARDS

I wanted SIMPLE and SUNNY - and I think I pulled that off!
These cards are under 5 minutes to make each - and the fact that they
will belong soon to two people who share something similar in their lives meant
I wanted to make each one an individual effort, and yet, retain something in common - an
easy breezy style!  And colour - lushious colour!

Check out this flower!  Dimension is good, very good for a card - or any project!  Colour combinations
are fun - like picking our your outfit for the day!!!   Then you can combine layers of printed patterns when
the colours are paired nicely.....my Concord Crush and Poppy colours are also
lightened with the addition of the white paper.  Add another burst of colour
with the brad - and presto, you've got a fantastic flower!

Unfortunately, this is one of the dies in our Retiring List which is currently running
through Stampin' Up! transition to our NEW CATALOGUE due out June !.
So if you want this die for the Big Shot -contact me :)

On this card - I treated the TOP a little differently!   Its created with one of our newest dies - Adorning Accents, and a simple little step like this helps you to create interesting style.....its easy smeasy!!!

And this flower is one of our current Punches and the scalloped border was created with one of our most recent additions to the Stampin' Up family!  The paper and ribbons shown here
today are retiring {the green retired awhile ago - but is similar to another
current colour}.....but I've always got a 'stash', lol!

Combine your greeting with sweet styled die-cut borders....

...or for something different, turned sideways!  Here it is paired with the strip
of co-ordinating designer floral paper {polka dot Poppy paper is a separate sheet}.

I love trying to make something regular become a little irregular!  Try it!

And don't forget your dentist - they're helpin' you keep a good-looking smile {ting!}

Mother's Day Card for moi!

Here is my MOTHER'S DAY CARD made for me by my uber-talented DAUGHTER!!
She doesn't craft with me much - well, not tons, so I tend to treasure everything she does!
But what really gets me - is how her style is so fresh and fun!  I would never of thought of this!
She does in a New York Minute!  Must be that young brain of hers!
LOVE IT SWEETIE!

Its a bouquet of flowers!  And I won't kill them - even better!!

Cool thing - the white section behind the Greeting and orange rectangle?  Well, its one of our Labels die cut from Whisper White cardstock and TRIMMED!  Just see how the outline differs from the original shape shown in this photo - Upper Right corner.....she cut off the bracket shape from top and bottom - clever girl!

FRAMELITS and EDGELITS STORAGE with MAGNET PHOTO SLEEVES

Hello!

As our Retired List was officially launched, some of us worried that the Magnet Sheets would not be an option, for a very good reason - storage reasons!

Primarily because we like to adjust our thin, wafer-like FRAMELIT and EDGELIT DIES sleeve storage to include a magnet layer - the dies stick to it and stay nicely in place!

Well in lieu of Stampin' Up! retired magnet sheets - I found a new solution - MAGNET PHOTO SLEEVES!

Lucky for me, I found them in the Dollar Bin stores, he he - always fun to find a deal :)

Here is how they look {front and back}:

The Photo Sleeve here has been sealed inside a plastic cover with an opening on the front to insert a photo. I have taken advantage of this pocket to create a SAMPLE of each of the FRAMELITS and EDGELITS to tuck inside along with each particular set.  Great to show a customer how the products can look as well as being quickly identified in storage!

Now have a look at what I did........
TIP: you may need to add some double-sided sticky tape to help secure the largest sized shapes/borders.

Plain Magnet Side - Attach Dies

FLIP SIDE: Decorated Samples Inserts

All back into DIE CASES!

So as usual, ' Nature finds a way '   {if any of you watched Jurassic Park - you know that line lol}!

LOVE TO HEAR IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA or IF YOU GIVE IT A TRY !!!

SCS Pre-Order Challenge by Amanda

We Demos are waiting around in our respective time zones for the magical hour when we can log in to see our Pre-Order goodies....[for the NEW catalogue!!]

And by we, I mean our SplitCoastStampers Stampin' Up! Demo Group and a smart demo Amanda thought it would do us good to do challenges to help pass the time!

So I chose one of her colour combo's and made this project - a 5 Minute Quickie - because its late after all, he he..........I chose the Melon Mambo, Island Indigo and Lucky Limemade colour palette and used a punch for the flower which is still current, but chose a retiring stamp set, SWEET CENTERS to create the floating basket - my hats off and as a fond farewell!  Bye bye stamp - we had good times [and we still will actually, just not 'officially']........center sentiments also a retired SAB set.

Thanks for the inspiration Amanda!
